Network Rail Standards describe the technical and operational risk controls to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the rail infrastructure. They are written to specify how Network Rail will control its principal health and safety risks and meet the requirements of and comply with legislation, e.g. the Railway Safety Case, Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSIs) and Railway Group Standards. They are key to ensuring the company adopts and consistently applies consolidated processes principally across the areas of engineering, safety and operations.
