This Work Instruction applies as detailed in sections 6.4 and 6.5 of NR/SP/TEL/30098 and is a support document for the development and production of a project Test Plan and associated Test Specification(s). It details the minimum mandatory tests that are to be carried out on PETS installations prior to the commissioning and bringing into service of the equipment on the operational railway.
This Work Instruction does not include:
a) Any required FAT tests
b) Health and safety requirements
c) Methods for performing tests
d) The requirements for the production of a test plan
e) Installation requirements
The requirements for telecommunications installation are detailed in NR/CS/TEL/30029 Telecoms Installation and supported in NR/SP/TEL/30094 – Installation of Telecommunications Equipment and Systems.
Purpose
This Work Instruction in support of NR/SP/TEL/30098 – Testing and Commissioning of Telecommunications Equipment and Systems details the tests that are required to be carried out on a PETS installation that falls under the scope of NR/CS/TEL/30092 - Telecommunication Testing and Commissioning Procedure.
