This procedure applies to the GEOGIS database as a whole, covering the structure of the database including the maintenance of codes and the accessibility and security of the database

This procedure also applies to the data within the GEOGIS database subject to Change Control as defined in Standard RT/CE/S/059 and being within the responsibility of the Railtrack Director's Nominee (RDN).

It covers the requirements regarding the level of control and review, also when and how the process is to be carried out.

PURPOSE

This procedure gives the requirements for change control and review of the GEOGIS database to maintain an audit trail of changes made to data as a result of normal operational or maintenance processes and other exercises

This procedure also ensures that the maintenance of GEOGIS is being carried out on a continuous basis and in a satisfactory manner.
