This procedure relates to all track buckles as defined in para. 3, whether occurring in jointed or welded track.

PURPOSE

This procedure gives the requirements for the reporting of track buckles. It defines

• reportable track buckles;

• the necessary reports;

• by whom and to whom the reports must be sent, and within what timescales.

The reporting procedures described are in addition to any notification to signalling staff in connection with the protection of traffic.
