This specification describes an assessment process for identifying high risk sites for wrong side track circuit failures in leaf fall areas, and shall be used by Zonal Production Managers in order to enable the appropriate action to be taken so far as their Zone is concerned in accordance with Group Standard GO/RT3208

PURPOSE

The purpose of this specification is to ensure that all sites which may be ‘high risk' in respect of being likely to cause wrong side track circuit failures (WSTCF) under leaf fall contamination conditions are defined in a consistent way across all Railtrack controlled infrastructure, and that a structured process exists to alter the status of sites.
