This procedure applies to all Panchex IIIa trackside pantograph monitoring systems operating on 25 kV overhead line equipment managed by Railtrack.

Purpose

This document states the procedure for disseminating contact wire uplift data from trackside pantograph monitoring equipment and for taking action as a result of that data.

Application of this procedure will extend the operating life of the OLE and pantograph and reduce the incidence of dewirements.

This document does not consider the collection or analysis of the uplift data, the methods for generating alarm uplift levels for triggering reports, nor the value of those levels.
