This specification defines the requirements for Railway Signalling Cable that shall have an insulation that is either elastomer or ZHLS, tinned annealed copper conductors and have a maximum voltage rating of 650/1100 volts being power frequency rating to earth and 1100 volts being the core-to-core rating. Cables shall be suitable for use in d.c. circuits where the nominal voltage to earth does not exceed 1100 volts.
