The contents of this Product Specification apply to a.c. phase sensitive track circuits, and shall be read in conjunction with RT/E/S/11752. The following forms of a.c. track circuit are included:

• 50Hz a.c. track circuit,

• 831/3Hz a.c. track circuit,

• VT1(SP) track circuit.

It does not include non-frequency selective a.c. track circuits, such as the quick release type.

PURPOSE

This Product Specification gives details of best practice in respect of a.c. phase sensitive track circuits in order to achieve the requirements of RT/E/S/11752.
