This specification applies to organisations commissioning an RCM analysis for application to Railtrack infrastructure, the Infrastructure Controller, all staff responsible for the maintenance of Railtrack infrastructure where RCM derived task lists are to be used and to those responsible for installation in an area using such task lists.

Purpose

The purpose of this specification is to define the control measures necessary to enable the definition and use of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) derived task lists for Railtrack infrastructure. With the specified control measures in place the RCM derived task lists may be considered no less safe than Signalling Maintenance Specifications (GK/RC0741).
