This Specification is mandatory for all work with a signalling content undertaken on Railtrack Infrastructure, which requires testing to the Signal Works Testing Specification, RT/E/S/11221.

Purpose

This Procedure details the method for appointed Testers in Charge to provide Signalling Testers with Authority to Work.

The Procedure contains the requirements for Authorising Testers to work upon particular projects. The Authority to Work of the Tester in Charge is granted with the approval of the Project Manager/Infrastructure Controller, as detailed in RT/E/P/14001 - Appointment of Signalling Testers in Charge.
