The document is to be read in conjunction with Railtrack Line Specification RT/E/S/21000, "Operational, Environmental and General Requirements for Remote Control Equipment for Electrical Distribution Systems", and RT/E/S/21007 "Remote Control Man Machine Interface for Electrical Distribution Systems" and the relevant procurement specification.

Purpose

This specification states the requirements for overall system operation, integration and performance criteria applicable to remote control equipment (otherwise known as a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system), associated with an a.c. or d.c. traction network.
