This specification covers the design, manufacture, testing and delivery of 25 kV single phase a.c. 50 Hz Power Transformers and associated Solid-State Voltage Regulators, together with the supply of Drawings and Instruction Manuals.
The equipment shall be installed under a separate contract.
Purpose
25 kV single phase, 50 Hz a.c. Power Transformers and associated Solid-State Voltage Regulators are used to provide stand-by supplies from the overhead line to signalling and other auxiliary equipment. This shall be utilised as a 'hot stand-by' system, by which the load is only connected on failure of the primary supply source.
Total power requirements of the load will be from 25 kVA to 250 kVA. The particular power requirements shall be stated in the Procurement Specification.
