Reason

To maintain the equipment in a suitable condition and state of adjustment to ensure satisfactory performance.

Periodicity

Every two years. A lesser period may be used at the discretion of the Local Engineer.

Note

External surfaces must be cleaned before the relay cover is removed. Replace the cover as soon as possible.

Appropriate action must be taken to institute repairs if any defects are found during the course of this work. If any faults found cannot be immediately corrected, the E.C.O. must be informed of the condition of the equipment.
