Introduction 

This instruction covers the maintenance of G.E.C. type OX SF6 gas insulated switchgear and the roof mounted sequential isolators associated with each circuit breaker.

Switching Isolation and Permit to Work Procedure must be followed as appropriate.

Ensure that all necessary details associated with Maintenance work are entered in the switching station log book and signed before leaving site. 

The frequency of inspection shown shall be regarded as normal, but may be increased at the discretion of the Area Electrification Engineer where local conditions require this.
