Introduction

This Instruction covers the maintenance procedure for the nickel cadmium type of battery (SAFT) and associated charger and changeover relay (DANE) as supplied in the T.S.C.'s and F.S. on the West Coast Main Line.

Defects found during the course of work, whether within the scope of this order or not, must be immediately corrected, as may be appropriate and noted on the sub-station Maintenance Record Sheet.

All inspections and readings shall be entered in the Maintenance Record Sheet.
