Purpose
This Document gives the method to be adopted for isolating and earthing SMOS equipment at locations where the equipment exists on separate structures clear of any overhead line equipment. Such that inspection, maintenance and removal work can be undertaken without isolation and earthing of the O.H.L. on any track and the dictates of Instruction 9 of the Working Instructions for A.C. Electrified Lines are fulfilled.
