Purpose

To provide guidance to Railtrack Zones and others as to how to structure :-

• the review of risks at Multiple Spad Signals

• the recording of significant findings and actions arising.

The guidance is not mandatory but it represents current good practice for structuring such work

Other signals which do not meet this definition may be examined using this process if the Railtrack Zone, Train Operating Companies or SPADRAM Groups believe there are, for example :

• Issues to consider at a signal which does not meet the current definition of a Multiple Spad Signal.

• Signals which no longer meet the definition, but which have a history of SPAD s.
