This Notice applies to all quartz halogen lamps used in lineside signals, route and junction indicators, and banner signals.

Purpose

This Notice directs that quartz halogen lamps be run at the rated voltage and that new lamps, when fitted, are checked for correct optical alignment to ensure that the light output is adequate.
