Purpose

This notice requires the fitting of snorkel valves to power packs operating clamp lock or swing nose crossing point apparatus, over which facing moves are signalled. Power packs fitted with snorkel valves shall be clearly and suitably identified. Power packs held as spares shall also be fitted. The programme for changing the power packs shall be prioritised according to the risk at each site.
