Purpose

Sections E031, E032 & E033 of the General Instructions to Staff Working on S&T Equipment (NR/L2/SIG/10064) were withdrawn prior to publication as the SMTH was a more fitting home for these sections. It was not possible to incorporate these into the 2006 issue of the SMTH (NR/L3/SIG/11231) as it was in the process of being printed.

This Technical Instruction duplicates the above withdrawn sections (now renumbered as NR/SMTH/Part 2/App D1, D2 & D3) and will be included in the next update of the SMTH.

Also, there are a number of sections in the 2006 issue of the SMTH that reference the above withdrawn sections to the General Instructions. These sections are should now be correctly referenced to the SMTH itself.
