The standard, NR/L3/TRK/1202, specifies the management of fixed stretcher bar assemblies, lock stretcher bar assemblies, their associated fastenings and defects on flat bottom full depth switches in running lines.

This standard mandates the use of the approved stretcher bar assembly fastenings for all new works, renewals and maintenance.

Purpose

The Track Standards listed above are to be revised as a result of the issue of NR/L3/TRK/1202 (publication date 01/12/2008). Until they are formally revised this Letter of Instruction clarifies the changes to the existing standards.
