Purpose

The publication of NR/L3/TRK/1202 (S&C systems – Flat bottom full depth switches – Management of fixed stretcher bars assemblies, lock stretcher bars, fastenings, and the associated defects) has changed some of the requirements, tasks, and tests in NR/SMS and NR/SMTH documents. This technical instruction is to mandate the changes required in NR/SMS and NR/SMTH to comply with NR/L3/TRK/1202.
