INTRODUCTION TO TPWS TESTING EFFICIENCIES

This document details various procedures for testing efficiencies to apply to the National TPWS fitment programme. In the interests of meeting the December 2002 deadline for the trackside installation of TPWS these procedures will allow vital testing resources to be utilized in different ways. The procedures will comply with Railtrack standards but propose to redefine the levels of testing competency that have been accepted as best practice for certain testing functions.
