This Technical Instruction No. 13 applies to all TPWS fitted signals used as home signals for block acceptance purposes in areas operated under Absolute Block Regulations (GO/RT3062/2), Electric Token Block Regulations (GO/RT3062/3) and Tokenless Block Regulations (GO/RT3062/4), where failure of TPWS would prevent acceptance of trains under normal signalled arrangements. It also applies to the fitment of TPWS to a semaphore signal at the end of a Track Circuit Block sections.
