This Technical Instruction applies to TPWS interface circuits for relay based Interlocking interfaces using 110V AC multiple aspect signals. It applies only to Thales 110V AC SIM modules of part number 604366 10 and higher.

Direct Connection to the Subsidiary Aspect (Suppression Input) is not permitted at the current time.

This document does not apply to SSI interfaces, mechanical signalling interface circuits, and certain complex approach scenarios as discussed in section 7 and Appendices A and B.

Other restrictions on use are also necessary. These are also detailed in section 7.

The application of Direct Connection is being managed by a phased introduction as RT HQ and HMRI approvals are obtained. This will be detailed on the TPWS Product Acceptance Certificate PA05/446. The current situation may be confirmed by contacting the TPWS National Project Team on the contact numbers detailed in section 8.
