This Notice applies to all modules without gold plated contacts. It should be read in conjunction with TPWS/TI/008 Issue 4 (which forms part of Railtrack Line Procedure RT/E/P/10175) which details the procedure for returning these modules to Thales Communications for reconditioning.

PURPOSE

Early TPWS installations used modules with phosphor bronze contacts. These are susceptible to corrosion and the decision has been made to replace them. This TI details the requirement and method for replacement.
