This Technical Instruction applies to OSSs at all Buffer Stops TPWS installations. The Buffer Stop Mini-Loop shall be used for all applications of OSSs for Buffer Stops, both as a retrospective modification to existing OSSs which have used standard loops, and for all new installations. Any other uses proposed shall require a Non Compliance (NC) to be issued. Standard (1000mm) transmitter loops shall not be used for Buffer Stops OSS protection.
