The tests are intended for ladders in a correct working position, with a load of 1500 N (one man with his equipment) and a safety factor of 1,75. This standard does not apply to - ladders intended for special professional uses; - mobile ladders, i.e. non-portable ladders which can be moved to the place of use by means of a chissie on wheels.
