Laval University in Quebec City began a major retrofit project to reduce its overall energy use. The article describes how the agriculture and food industry sciences building, Envirotron Pavilion, was audited and retrofitted to implement energy conservation measures on mechanical systems. Savings were significant enough to pay for improvements in less than two years. This is an ASHRAE Technology Award.
