2601 -- Indoor Sound Rating Criteria PDF

This paper concerns itself with the background of the existing indoor sound rating criteria and evaluates the widely used and currently proposed methods. The recommendation is made to retain the same basic method published in the ASHRAE Guide and Data Book, but extend it to the lower frequencies. It also proposes explicit rules for its application that should eliminate inappropriate use, such as when pure tones are present.
