Presents a simulation model of a heat pump operating under frosting conditions. The model consists of a refrigeration simulator, a frost formation simulator, and a fan characteristic simulator. The simulation results were compared with experimental results of a prototype heat pump operating under actual frosting conditions. The simulation results were in good agreement with the experimental results.
