States that recent developments in design and optimising procedures for air distribution systems has made it desirable to develop a computerised database of duct fitting loss coefficients. In addition, the current ASHRAE data base was in need of enhancement and expansion. Notes how the Duct Fittings Data Base was developed and populated with data for 228 duct fittings. All of the data were documented and checked for accuracy. Notes an interactive program was developed to access fittings in the data base to determine loss coefficients and computer pressure loss in either IP or SI units.
