The purpose of this study was to develop a building heating and cooling loadprogram based on the algorithms of Ref 1 and the routine of Ref 3; to instrumenta test building from which measured space loads could be obtained; and tocompare the simulated and measured loads as a means of validation of thiscomputer simulation method. Ultimately, this building load program was coupledto an HVAC system simulation program (also developed in the study) from whichthe simulated system energy consumption could be oompared with measured values.
