The rules of Design and Construction concerning the fire applied to the whole of the EPR, ETC-F Code published by the AFCEN, aims at defining the principles of protection against fire of the materials or equipments the failure of which can have consequences on the safety of the people or the nuclear safety of the power station.
It is designed to be used in the frame of the contractual
relationships between customers and suppliers.
The ETC-F does not treat with on the same level of detail of all
the materials submitted to fire protection. Standards applicable to
these materials are indeed sufficiently complete in many
cases.
The first edition of ETC-F code is currently available in English,
dated 2010.
A French version will be published in 2013.
