An Approach to Simplified Corrections of Temperature Efficiency in Plate Heat Recovery Ventilation due to Frost Prevention PDF

This paper presents results from a simplified method of corrections between nominal temperature efficiencies given by manufacturers for plate heat recovery ventilation and actual cases with frost prevention. The method can be used in simple calculations by consultants to provide an annual energy use for ventilation air heating that corresponds better to the real value. The method takes into account different outdoor climates, different nominal temperature efficiencies, different flow balances and different moisture supply conditions in the ventilated space.
