This paper describes the improvements that result when the absorption chiller is reconfigured to optimise its combination with a liquid desiccant system thus defining advanced members of the DUBLSORB set of concepts. A very slight modification of the LiBr/water working fluid is shown to result in improvements in cycle performance that would not be available from modifications of the absorption cycle alone.
