1. Scope

This Standard applies to testing agencies that are engaged in the testing of piping systems for nonflammable medical gases to determine their conformity to Part III of CSA Standard Z305.1.
1.2
This Standard is divided into two parts as follows: (a) Clauses 1 to 5 contain minimum requirements for testing agencies, including the minimum administrative qualifications of testing agencies and qualifications of staff needed to support a claim of competency; and (b) Clause 6 contains minimum requirements for testing laboratories that may be employed by a testing agency for the analysis of medical gas samples to determine compliance with Table 7 of CSA Standard Z305.1.
