The "Bibliography of Available Computer Programs in the General Area of Heating, Refrigerating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilating," was prepared by the University of Missouri-Rolla under contract to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The project was funded by the Department of Energy as Government Contract No. EM-78-C-01-422l-Task 7 and was designated by ASHRAE as Special Project No. 22, Task 7. Information used in compiling this bibliography was drawn from a wide variety of sources including machine and hand searches of literature and contacts with manufacturers, researchers, and consulting engineers working in the field. In addition, many announcements were placed in appropriate magazines and trade journals. The descriptions of computer programs included in this bibliography were developed with the objective of informing potential program users of the programs that are available, what the programs do, and who to contact for more information. This bibliography was not intended as a means for expressing judgments as to the relative merits of any of the programs included and readers are cautioned not to attempt to extract such information.
