Examines the use of computer simulation to determine window frame U-factors. Makes s detailed comparison between computer-simulated values of window frame performance and detailed testing for seven different windows. Then uses the same computer simulation technique to determine representative frame U-factors covering the full range of window material types and operating styles. States these results will be used to expand Table 5 (previously Table 13) of chapter 27 of the 1993 ASHRAE Handbook - Fundamentals.
