The performance of refrigerant mixture R22/R152A and pure RC270 was studied in a single-evaporator domestic refrigerator originally designed for R12. Calculation showed that an increase in COP was to be expected and experiment confirmed that this was the case. For the refrigerant mixture the fraction of R22 was important.
