A solar heating and/or cooling system for a building, including thermal energy storage and an auxiliary energy supply, is complex and difficult to analyze. Also, the relationships determining the performance of some of the individual subsystems and components are complicated, so that evaluations can be performed only in either a very rough approximation or by computer. The task has therefore been undertaken to construct a complete, detailed computer model of the entire solar heating/cooling system.
