The major advantages of acrylic sheet are optically-clear transparency, high impact resistance,1ight weight, weather resistance, formability to complex shapes and machineability. Inaddition to colorless transparent sheet, acrylic is also produced in a great variety oftransparent, translucent and opaque colors and in a variety of surface patterns. Sheetthicknesses in many types of acrylic range from 1/16 in. to 4 in. Sheet sizes are producedup to 120 in. by 144 in. This paper reviews and discusses the various properties of acrylic relative to glazing applications.
