A relatively simple and low-cost technique is available to markedly improve the efficiency of recuperated gas turbines. The power fogger cycle injects water at the recuperator inlet, either as spray or via contact media. An exhaust heated absorption chiller cools the inlet air to further boost efficiency and cools the exhaust to facilitate water recycle. Up to 12% gains are achievable.
