Greening the Data Center PDF

What is a green data center? Data center industry stakeholders are discussing definitions in various consortiums and forums, but a publicly obtainable document is not currently available. In this article we introduce an evaluation system that provides an initial means to grade the energy efficiency impact of the data center. The evaluation system is still in its infancy and more work needs to be done to create a comprehensive data center energy efficiency evaluation system.
