We are investigating the impacts of the variation of the effective parameters on the resource, i.e. water and electricity, consumption cost to provide a greatinsight into the economic performance of a counter-flow regenerative evaporative cooler. Here we also offering for the first time the variation of the specificresource consumption cost, defined as the ratio of the resource consumption cost to the cooling capacity. Iran and the USA as the countries withcorresponding low and high water to electricity charge ratio are selected as the case studied countries. The results demonstrate that in both low and highutility charge ratios, employing the dew point cooler in warmer regions provide more technical and economical benefits. Moreover, for those areas withrelative humidity more than 50%, in our case for both countries, a drastic increase in the specific resource consumption cost is observed. We also reportoptimum working to inlet air ratio for both cooling capacity and specific resource consumption cost.
