The transfer of heat from solar collectors to water is often accomplished by circulating liquids such as water, glycol solutions, hydrocarbon oils, silicone liquids, etc. The use of vaporizing/condensing fluids in this application has not received much attention; although such systems are commercially available, and a number of successful installations have been made.
