Over the past several years much work has been done on the dynamics of heat exchangers; these papers set forth a very complex method of analysis. Recently a simple relationship for these dynamics has been pursued. J..R. Gartner simplifies the transfer function which describes the response of the primary or secondary fluid outlet temperature to the primary fluid velocity. In this paper a simplification of the response of primary fluid outlet temp to primary fluid inlet temp is presented.
