The University of Michigan Kinesiology Building represents a transformative renovation that brings together three separate buildings under one roof in the heart of the school’s central campus. A century ago, architect Albert Kahn designed the original building by adopting the innovations of factory design, aimed at maximizing daylight, to an academic setting. Today, the exterior remains as a representation of the University’s traditions and history, while the interior provides a state-of-the-art home base for enhanced learning and research.
