The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST’s) Virtual Cybernetic Building Testbed (VCBT) is a whole building emulator designed to support research in a variety of topics linked to the concept of a “cybernetic building”, where numerous building control systems are integrated together and with outside entities such as utility providers.
