The goal of this research was to determine and compare the influence of certain design parameters on pressure drop due to friction: type of transverse joint, duct static pressure, entrance lengths, and liner density. It was felt that these parameters would include most of the possible problem areas that might be encountered in the design of lined duct systems. Previous studies have not dealt with these parameters.
